HOW THE END OF ABORTION MOVEMENT STARTED
My family and I watched the March for Life on January 2011 and it inspired us to think of attending the following year. The year went by and it was clear by the month of November that we were not going to be able to attend the March for Life on January 23, 2012. But, everything changed on the Feast Day of the Immaculate Conception. When I woke up that morning, I heard Our Lady speak in my heart that she wanted me to find a way to pray the Holy Rosary at the March for Life with everyone there. She also told me that January 23, 2012 will mark the beginning of the end of abortion. I was very happy with the news and shared them with my husband. But despite the good news, I had a problem, I did not know where to start or what to do. I felt like the most unqualified person to do this kind of mission. I prayed for a few days and on the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, I finally got the courage to contact the March for Life. I dialed the number and to my surprise Miss Nellie Gray, the founder of the March for Life answered the phone. I really did not know that she was the founder of the March for Life until I looked up the history of the March for Life. I asked her if there was a possibility to pray the Holy Rosary with everyone at the March for Life. She told me that it looked very difficult and that it might not happen but that she was going to see if there was a chance. I told her that Our Lady wanted us to pray the Rosary and that the Rosary was the answer to the end of abortion. At the moment of my call Miss Nellie Gray was asking herself the reason why abortion has not ended. I told her that the answer might be the Rosary. In addition, I told her that for a week, I have been having big red roses in front of my main entrance door, my family and I been asking each other for the reason of the beautiful roses. We all knew it was a miracle because we have never had roses in December, but we did not know what it meant. Until the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe (Patron of the unborn and of the USA), Our Lady told St. Juan Diego to cut roses at the Tepeyac Hill in Early December in Mexico and give them as a sign for the bishop of Mexico. At the moment, my husband and I realized that the red roses in front of our door was perhaps a sign from Our Lady of Guadalupe. See picture.
After Christmas, I called Miss Nellie Gray and she told me that it was not possible to pray the Holy Rosary at the March because of schedule conflicts. But that she might be able to arrange a room at the hotel where the convention for the March for Life would take place. Although, I was disappointed for not being able to carry out Our Lady’s wishes, I offered the sacrifice to Our Lady. Two days before, the March I called again and again, and finally Miss Nellie’s assistant confirmed the Glacier Room at the Hyatt Regency near the Capitol to be used as the Rosary Room. My husband and my three daughters came with me. We had people with us praying the Holy Rosary at all times. A mother and a son came to pray with us for three hours the Holy Rosary and at the end the son stayed for another three hours. Everyone that came was really a prayer warrior. We prayed from 8:30 A.M to 5:00 P.M on Sunday and then we came back on Monday morning to pray some more. We prayed a total of forty Rosaries for the end of abortion, contraception, and euthanasia.
I believe that January 23, 2012 will mark the beginning of the end of abortion. Miss Nellie has truly raised a pro-life army. I was pleasantly surprised to see so many young people. I could not help but think of how many more young people we will have in this world if it wasn’t for the evil of abortion. The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception was bursting at its seams with people for the Vigil Mass. I found it very interesting that the first reading (John 3:1-5,10) for Sunday was about the Prophet Jonah, forty days and how the people of Nineveh repented of their evil ways. In addition, the Gospel was about the “time of fulfillment.” I believe that everyone who came to the March for Life 2012 received many Graces from Our Lord. My husband and I were inspired to start a group that will dedicate to pray the Holy Rosary to end abortion, contraception, and euthanasia.
I know that with action and prayer, abortion will end very soon. Can you imagine how many more young people we would have if it wasn’t for abortion? If we have God’s help and Our Blessed Mother as our Mediatrix, we will win this battle. We need to unite under the banner of Our Lady of The Rosary as only she will be able to help us. If we can change peoples’ hearts, then we can end abortion and the only way to change hearts is by prayer and sacrifice.
This is the sign we used at the March for Life 2012. God bless all you. Your friends in Christ,
